A Kiss for Santa by Mia Monroe

A Kiss For Santa will definitely make you feel the Christmas spirit!

From the blurb:

This year, Santa gets a gift too.

One night every year, I deliver gifts to all the good people around the world. I have everything I could want—a beautiful private home, loving friends and family, and the most amazing job in existence. All my needs are more than met, and the other 364 days of the year are mine to spend how I wish.

The only thing I don’t have is a love of my own. I’ve been hopelessly in love with Luca Vincent for years, watching him from afar, but he has a full life and it would be selfish of me to woo him away. Which is a problem because I have to be married soon or lose my Christmas magic to my brother. Neither of us wants that to happen, leaving me with two choices—let the Council arrange a marriage or find my own husband fast.

With my looming deadline and Luca’s holiday cheer slipping away, I know the time to act is now. Somehow, I have to convince him to come back to my home with me. I’ll use every tool I have and plenty of holiday magic to make him mine. Maybe this Christmas, I’ll find a Kiss For Santa under the tree.

Angel's Review:

I didn't know how this story would work based on the description. I personally have never read a book about Santa finding a mate. However, I had nothing to be worried about! This book was so sweet, and cute, and completely embodies the spirit of Christmas.

I really enjoyed how the author made it poignant about the beauty and magic of Christmas, how it can bring joy to people in the darkest of times. How people can still believe in Christmas and in Santa no matter how old they are. I know this book is a work of fiction, but I personally hope this actually exists somewhere. I believe in the magic of Christmas. I also believe in Santa. Call me childish if you'd like, but it's not going to change my mind.

These characters fit together, they puzzle pieces, they were such a good fit for each other. I enjoyed how Magnus (aka Santa) kept Luka's holiday spirit alive and checked on him every now and again. It was cute and thoughtful how he watched out for him. And Luka? That sweet boy! His parents, especially his mom, always encouraged his holiday joy. She always told him to keep believing, even if things seem dire. For years he kept his spirit alive, but then he too fell victim to the social constructs of our human work. He got lost in the grind of his job and he slowly lost his Christmas spirit. Magnus showed him that he has to keep believing that he's a true believer. And with Magnus' help, he regains his Christmas joy.

I really enjoyed this story. It was so well written and so unique. I have never read a story like this before and I'm in love with this! It's definitely going to be a frequent re-read. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to feel the Christmas spirit through the magical words of this book.

Janet's Review:

A Kiss for Santa was a sweet, adorable read. Luca and Magnus were perfect for one another. Magnus is Santa and he must find a mate or give up being Santa to his brother. Luca grew up believing in the magic of Christmas, especially after meeting Santa one Christmas Eve.

Magnus was a truly caring individual, he wanted the best for everyone. Luca started to lose the magic of Christmas and Magnus made his move. Sweet, with low to medium steam and a little mystery to the story.

Overall, loved it! Well written with pacing that hooked me and kept me engaged!

Jacquie's Review:

I really enjoy the way that Mia Monroe writes, so picking up this shorter read was a no brainer. Also, how cute is the cover? The art work is just lovely.

The premise was unique. Santa needs to find a mate, but he has a deadline. Failure means he won't be Santa anymore.

The story moved along at a quick pace sacrificing none of the world-building. I was impressed at how much was squeezed into the pages. It was very atmospheric.

I adored Luca and Magnus together. The mutual pining they did for each other was sweet, but not dragged out. I especially loved the clear communication.

Lower on the steam and a slow burn, A Kiss for Santa was a lovely holiday story.

Heather's Review:

Santa totally deserves his HEA - and he gets it in A Kiss for Santa.  I always love Mia Monroe's world building and the lore she creates when she writes a story... and this one is no different - she takes all of the elements that make up the Santa Claus mythos and explains enough to make the story plausible with holiday magic without straying from what one would expect from the world...  and it's an adorable read!

It's quick, it's light, it's detailed and it's addicting - clear your calendar and sit down to read A Kiss for Santa, you won't want to put it down.
