Wolf Island by Jason Wrench - Review, Blitz & Giveaway

Wolf Island was a fun Steamy MMM shifter quick read.   We're so pleased to have the release blitz and giveaway for both Wolf Island and Betrayal!

From the blurb:

Being bitten doesn’t change the man who becomes a wolf. Only the love of a strong alpha does that.

Markus Julson IV is a billionaire investment financier who lives in New York with his husband, Danny Fletcher. His family has led the Manhattan pack for more than a century. Once a month, he flies to a secluded island in the ocean to let the wolf living in him run free. But when a stranger crashes onto his island and is bitten by his wolf, Markus’ world changes in an instant.

Dr. Peter Roberts is an assistant professor of marine cell and molecular biology at NYU whose research vessel is forced ashore onto an uncharted island during a storm. To find help, he leaves the protection of the boat and is bitten by a wolf during the storm, which changes him in more ways than one.

Markus must quickly bring Peter into the underbelly of wolf politics, because their chance encounter on the island may be fate or something more sinister. To further complicate things, Markus must manage his life with his husband while dealing with his wolf, who has chosen Peter as his mate.

Polyamorous relationships with paranormal beings are always complicated.

Reader advisory: This book has a scene of double anal penetration, and a murder.

Nicole's Review:

I really like the plot of this book, and the idea of the characters. Markus is very different from a lot of alpha wolf shifters. He’s not as connected to his wolf, and it definitely affects him as an MC and is a major point turn the plot.

The bad guy was pretty obvious, but it didn’t really bother me. I also hate cheating storylines, so I was actually happy with how easily Danny accepted Peter into their dynamic.

The smexy times were pretty hot, if not a little unrealistic. All in all I think it was a solid effort, but definitely should have been longer to get more character and world development.

Lori C's Review:

Markus was warned by Torbjørn that something felt off and Danny warned him to be careful. Yet he wasn’t prepared for Peter to be stranded on his island with him. He wasn’t prepared for the lengths that some men will go to for power - murder kidnapping, and torture. Peter fit so well with him and Danny though, he became a part of their family. When that was threatened, he gave Markus and Danny the clue they would need to save him.

This seemed like such a fast book. I had to put it down a few times, but was always able to pick it right back up and feel comfortable in the story. The bad guy was a horrible guy and I was glad to see his ending in the story. I loved that Markus~Danny~Peter were able to make a relationship work together. Overall, a good book that leads me to believe that I will enjoy more books by Jason Wrench.
