Audio Review: Elysium, Fire & Brimstone Scrolls, Book 6 by Nikole Knight, narrated by Kirt Graves

Elysium brings the epic series to an end, but again, an intense roller coaster ride of emotions is in order. Outstanding narration!

From the blurb:

Riley and his angels have finally found their Elysium, and together, they will defend it.

After enduring two months in Purgatory at the Seven’s mercy, Riley Shepard emerges alive but forever altered. To protect his angels, he must embrace the powerful darkness inside him, or risk the fate of the realms.

The universe trembles under the feet of Hell’s armies, and it is time for Riley and his angels to fight. They fight for honor and justice, for freedom and family. But most of all, they fight for love. For in the end of all things, it is love that will save them.

Let the final battle begin.

Elysium is the final book in the M/M+ harem/poly romance series, Fire & Brimstone, featuring hurt/comfort, passionately protective guardian angels, steamy love, and an unlikely hero who finally accepts his destiny. Join Riley, Gideon, Jai, and Noel in this epic conclusion to their once-in-a-lifetime love story! Trigger warnings include: aftermath of trauma, violence, gore, and death.

Lesetiger's Review:

Nikole Knight has written an incredibly good and intriguing series.

Riley is back with his angels and after the last volume there is a lot for him to work through. The bond he has with his angels is strengthened and I absolutely loved how his relationship with Gideon, Jai and Noel developed. Yes, it gets really hot in between. But they are also sexy together and above all you can feel the love between Riley and his angels.

What comes next was intense. It was dark, sad and my heart broke into a thousand pieces. Not only did I cry for one of the main protagonists, the fate of some of the secondary protagonists was heartbreaking as well.

I was absolutely convinced by the ending, I loved the way the author went about it. Wow, I didn't see that coming, but it was a great fit. I am satisfied. At least almost. Because now the series is over and that makes me a little sad, simply because I would have loved to spend more time with Riley, Giden, Jai and Noel.

Elysium captivated me from the beginning and never let me go. The book had everything a good fantasy story needs: suspense, drama, action, romance, love, sadness, loss, heartbreaking moments, an intriguing plot, and unexpected twists.

The series definitely gets 5 stars from me and I would gladly give the audiobook one or two stars more. Kirt Graves has absolutely outdone himself with this series. He lived the characters, he understood them, and he delivered a consistent and convincing performance throughout the entire series. Just wow. It was a pleasure to listen to Kirt Graves here, even though I was keeping an eye on the time remaining, because I would have loved to slow down towards the end. But I already mentioned that. In my mind, Riley, Gideon, Jai and Noel will continue to accompany me.

Thank you for this fantastic series in audio!
