Killer Honeymoon (Sawyer and Royce: Matrimony and Mayhem #3) by Aimee Nicole Walker

Honeymoons are supposed to be relaxing, right? When fave couple Royce and Sawyer finally tie the knot they aren't expecting to be embroiled in a murder investigation while on their supposed romantic honeymoon away. Oh well, theres nothing the two detective can't handle when they are together - in and out of bed.

From the Killer Honeymoon blurb:

Honeymoon, happily ever after, and…homicide?

Newlyweds, Royce Locke and Sawyer Key, embark on a honeymoon road trip where their biggest threat should be dodging drunk tourists on golf carts. But their arrival on South Bass Island lands them in the middle of a contentious battle between lifelong islanders and a property developer who won’t accept no for an answer. Tempers soar as the barometric pressure drops, signaling a dangerous storm brewing on the horizon and across the street. Minding their own business becomes impossible when a homicide wrecks their vacation and puts Royce and Sawyer in the path of a twisted killer.

Will their honeymoon be two tickets to paradise or a one-way trip to the morgue?

Killer Honeymoon is book three in the Matrimony and Mayhem trilogy, the second story arc for Royce Locke and Sawyer Key. ** New readers should start with the Zero Hour trilogy before reading Matrimony and Mayhem. ** Killer Honeymoon is a continuation of Royce and Sawyer’s happily ever after as they move into the next phase of their lives—professionally and personally. Though some storylines span the trilogy, this book does not end in a cliffhanger. Heat, humor, heart, and homicide abound. You have been warned. 18+

SNik's Review:

Third in series (Sawyer and Royce: Matrimony and Mayhem), best if read in order due to the continuing story of an established couple.

Royce and Sawyer are finally married and going on their honeymoon. This story is mainly focused on Royce and Sawyer’s relationship, so if you are not interested in schmoopy romantic declarations, steamy husband times, and sweetly caring interactions of a deeply in love couple then this is not for you.

But for those tried and true fans of Royce and Sawyer, be ready for more fun banter, constant lusting, and of course a possible murder mystery cropping up during their honeymoon stay on Lake Erie.

Even while enjoying their honeymoon away from their home turf Royce and Sawyer manage to make new friends and investigate a homicide, and they are together the entirety of the book which I really enjoyed (although some long time readers might miss the usual secondary characters).

Aimee Nicole Walker thankfully has continued these beloved characters with each book cementing their relationship but also giving a taste of action and mystery, and rumor has it that the author intends another set of books for Royce and Sawyer so this is not the end hopefully and readers can hope for more.
