Falling for Vince (Love Me Do #4) by Megan Slayer

Having belief in oneself is part of the message in Falling for Vince. Reviewed by Laora, Janet and Lori C.

From the blurb:

Are second chances possible when the first chance never really happened?

Vince Rhodes has loved Cody Burrows for years, but he’s never been bold enough to ask him out. This wallflower is ready to make a move, so he enlists the help of James, the resident stylist at Dye Hard Style and unofficial matchmaker, to hook him up with his crush. Vince is betting it all on Cody giving him a chance, but will he?

Cody Burrows has admired Vince since they were both in high school. While he was the solid athlete unable to come out, Vince showed his rainbow proudly. Now they’re both older and wiser…and matched up by James. Will Cody allow himself to be free with Vince and find his heart’s delight or will he keep the barriers around his heart forever?

Maybe Falling for Vince is just what Cody needs…

Laora's Review:

I really enjoyed this fourth book in the Love Me Do series. I enjoyed this no angst story. It is a second chance at love, blind date with mcs around ca. 40 year who find their hea.

Unbeknownst to each other, Vince and Cody have had interest in each other in high school. After being set up on a blind date by James, the local hairdresser and matchmaker. They take their chance and turn their attraction into a relationship.

They both grow as individuals and through that they become secure in their relationship.

Lori C's Review:

Vince has had a crush on Cody since high school. He never thought Cody noticed him back. Why would he? Cody is a buff fit personal trainer and Vince he’s just an author with a dad-bod. Something they both have in common? They’ve both been crushed by love before. They are both sensitive with good hearts. They deserve to find love and a happily ever after with each other.

Falling for Vince is a slow burn, happily ever, with some spice in the mix. It’s part of the Love Me Do series with a great little small town vibe that has me looking forward to James story. While it isn’t on kindle unlimited, I definitely think it’s worth the buy especially if you like a small town romance. 😊

Janet's Review:

Falling for Vince was seriously opposites attract good.

Cody is the stereotypical gym rat but he has hidden depths to him. Vince is our resident nerd, a novelist who has crushed on Cody. They are actually crushing on each other. They are set up by James on a blind date.

I really liked their character growth! It’s kind of a second chance story but overall, a good story.

Nicely written with good pacing.
