Forsaken Desires by Ashley James

Forsaken Desires is the second book in The Deepest Desires interconnected series. It's an MM enemies to lovers romance and Tatted Book Freak says "this story was so much more than the filthy smuttiness,"

From the blurb:

Aston Walker
One night changed everything for me... I walked into that party surrounded by friends and walked out with an enemy. It's been two years and I still have no idea why he hates me. Now, we're forced to work together, and I'm going to enjoy getting under his skin.

Knox Finnegan
I never knew someone could annoy me as much as he does. He's starting to break down my carefully built walls, when I really need to keep him as far away as possible. He's a temptation I can't afford, a desire I've tried to bury.

But feelings can't hide forever...

Tatted_book_freak's Review:

Knox and Katie’s friendship was everything! Her forcefulness with Knox paid off in the end, and made for a lot of humorous moments. Also, getting to know what the issue was between Knox and Aston was finally a relief.

“ɪ’ʟʟ ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ ɢᴇᴛ ᴛɪʀᴇᴅ ᴏꜰ ᴡᴀᴛᴄʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄʀᴜᴍʙʟᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ꜱʜᴀᴛᴛᴇʀ ᴀᴛ ᴍʏ ʜᴀɴᴅ.”

Absolutely love a good enemies to lovers story filled with so much animosity and hatred that the passion and desire takes over! And their dirty talk was just as nasty and filthy as the smut,  causing heart palpitations throughout its entirety.

“𝔽𝕠𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕜𝕚𝕟 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕚𝕟,”

And can we take a moment to mention how insanely hot docking is?!?!

“𝙉𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮—𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙖𝙙, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙚, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩—𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚.”

But, Forsaken Desires was so much more than the filthy smuttiness, it was about blood not necessarily making you family. Trauma at the hands of a parent is always wrong, no matter how they try to excuse their actions. Being scared to be your true self, being beat down physically and mentally, or forced to be someone you’re not, is never okay. You’re absolutely perfect just the way you are!

𝙄 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙛𝙚𝙖𝙧, 𝙝𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙢𝙮 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨. 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚.

Rating: 5 Stars
