Forever, Con Amor (For Him book 4) by A.M Johnson

Jacqueleen says "Forever, Con Amor is the last book in the For Him series and I am seriously bummed about that fact. I have come to adore this universe and how all the couples are interconnected."

From the blurb:

Chance,

I never in a million years thought I would want a guy who smells like a tree and probably hugs them on the daily, but alas, you've somehow snuck your sexy, khaki-covered ass into my life. It doesn't help that we're stuck living in this apartment together for God knows how long, but I can't stop thinking about that kiss. I know I said it was one and done, and maybe that's the smart thing to do since I'm not convinced of your emotional availability. Maybe I'm a masochist. Or, maybe I might kind of like you. I said what I said.

No regrets,

Marcos~

***

Marcos,

Your ability to simultaneously compliment and insult me is probably one of my favorite things about you. I think it's part of your charm. Does that make me a masochist as well? I definitely like to torture myself. The night I kissed you, I knew it had the potential to push you away, but I couldn't stop myself from wanting you. I still can't. You can flirt and bully me all you like. I'm not going anywhere. I've finally found my home, and it's here. And just in case you need me to be more specific, I like you too.

Forever, con amor…

Chance~

Forever, Con Amor is an interconnected, stand alone, slow burn, contemporary, MM opposites attract romance that is heavy on humor, light on angst, and features an age gap, a sexy yoga session, heels, and a few passive aggressive quips about cargo pants, hugging trees, and kale.

Jacqueleen the Reading Queen's Review:

After meeting Marcos in book 3 I was so glad when I found out he was the MC of book 4 and was getting his happily ever after. I loved getting to know Chance too. They were so different, but alike where it counted. They both had such big hearts for those they loved and had a drive to take care of others. Marcos hid his caring nature with his sarcasm, but Chance saw it. It was beautiful to watch Chance slowly take down Marcos' walls bit by bit. I think the slow burn of this one was necessary in order for Marcos to learn to trust someone with his heart and he definitely chose the right man in Chance.

Heather's Review:

Forever, Con Amor was a beautiful love story with positive messaging and world building that, if actually implemented, would really change lives for the better... the messaging of love over hate, building community rather than tearing it down and of a slow burn love story was a beautiful way to close out the For Him series... although I hope that the characters and Pride House come back in future installments of A.M. Johnson's books, because the shelter and the offshoots from it are wonderful.

Marcos and Chance are a wonderful match and the secret crush Marcos has on Chance is delicous... This book has a slow burn, but the chemistry is there from the beginning... and I think that this time, the pacing was for trust building and acceptance, which was beautifully written.

I'm sad that this is the last interconnected For Him story, but I'm happy that Marcos got his HEA and with the right man for him!

Forever, Con Amor deserves all the stars

I can't begin to vocalise my admiration for this book. I finished it last night and to the early morning, in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. I was absolutely emersed with it. I didn't know just how much I needed this couple in my life.

Con Amor, has officially taken number one spot in my favourite books. I feel like we have come full circle with the For Him series and honestly, I'm so sad! This series is my happy place.

I went on such an emotional journey with Con Amor, all the loose threads have been tied up in the most perfect bow, with a cherry on top!

This was and is so funny with Marco's sass! All his remarks had me rolling with fits of laughter “I couldn’t take him anywhere in his Steve Irwin-inspired wardrobe.” I mean he's hilarious! And Chance was such a good sport. I was reduced to tears more times than I'm willing to admit, some in sadness and some in delight.

We got the closure we needed from Not So Sincerely, Yours. I'm not crying, you're crying!!

If you can't already tell! I am absolutely in love. I highly recommend this and all the books in the series for that matter! A.M. Johnson has exceeded herself, hat's off to you! πŸ‘πŸ‘

Tatted_book_freak's Review:

A.M. has written yet another beautiful, emotional love story. Though this was my first read in this series, the authors detailed description of side characters was phenomenal, only leaving curiosity about their personal road to happiness. But, the kids of Pride House are absolutely amazing, even with toxicity in their past.

𝔼𝕒𝕔𝕙 π•‘π•šπ•–π•”π•– π•—π•šπ•₯𝕀 π•šπ•Ÿ 𝕒 𝕔𝕖𝕣π•₯π•’π•šπ•Ÿ 𝕨𝕒π•ͺ π•₯𝕠 𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕒π•₯𝕖 𝕒 π•“π•šπ•˜π•˜π•–π•£ π•‘π•šπ•”π•₯𝕦𝕣𝕖.

Marcos and Chance just fit together, even with all their differences. They compliment one another, igniting when together. Their chemistry was volatile, exploding from the rooftops, with an immediate connection, even with Marcos’ playful yet dramatic banter, while Chance was the serious, organized hippie.

“𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕀𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕓𝕖 𝕒 𝕑𝕝𝕒𝕔𝕖 𝕨𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 π• π•Ÿπ•π•ͺ π•₯𝕙𝕖 π•₯π•™π•šπ•Ÿπ•˜π•€ π•ͺ𝕠𝕦 π•¨π•’π•Ÿπ•₯ π•₯𝕠 π•™π•’π•‘π•‘π•–π•Ÿ, π•™π•’π•‘π•‘π•–π•Ÿ.”

The quotes Chance made were encouraging, depicting his true personality. I absolutely loved his seriousness, while he also had a playful personality. This story was one of acceptance, even with all the hate these kids endured. Learning to be the better person and just walk away was such a beautiful message for this world.
