Philip has lost his husband and is sure he will grieve forever. Richard attending a wedding Philip has planned gets introduced to Philip and there is an instant attraction. Love, Planes, & Heartache is the first I’ve read by this author. It is a heartbreaker.  

Philip is having a hard time grieving for his husband who died in a plane crash. Philip has put his energy into writing a book about his life and loss with Mike, but has not submitted it to a publisher. His business partner Emma pushes him to do so.

Richard while at a wedding Philip has planned, meets Philip. There is an instant attraction between the two. The problem is Philip’s loss of Mike makes him not want to get involved with anyone again and Richard has been waiting for that special someone, but is Philip the one? Thank goodness June, Philip’s mom, gets involved.  

The events that happen with Philip working with a publisher for the first time are a little shocking. Also finding out Richard is an editor for the publisher doesn’t help. There are a number of twists to this story that held my attention. I learned quite a bit about writing and publishing from this story.
