From the blurb:

Coincidence or fate? Either way, there will be no second guesses...

Louis wants what his parents had: all encompassing love. He never believed he’d find it until a chance meeting with a man in his childhood vacation spot. Unfortunately, a brief encounter is all they have before Mal disappears. When Louis unexpectedly meets up with him again, he refuses to let go, not willing to trust that fate would allow them to meet a third time.

Mal doesn’t begrudge becoming guardian to his sister, but nothing will ever be the same. Especially when he meets the man of his dreams on vacation days before his life is turned upside down. Leaving Louis was the hardest thing he’d ever had to do, but he can’t allow someone to get too close and upset the precarious balance of his new responsibilities. However, Fate has other plans.

Does Louis have what it takes to change Mal’s mind?

Excerpt:

“Those clouds don’t appear to be a couple of hours away.” Mal’s brows drew together as he stared at the sky. “It had been blue skies when we left the cafĂ©.”

“I think we’ll be all right. It’s surprising how far you can see from here,” Louis said, squinting at the vast ocean spread out around them.

“I bet it’s miles when the sky is completely clear.” Mal’s voice came from close beside him.

“You can, truly. I’m not sure exactly how far it is, but it’s a wonderful sight.”

Mal glanced at him, then down at the ground, scuffing his shoes along the path. “Thank you for keeping me company.”

“I thought you were keeping me company?” Louis teased.

Cheeks igniting again, Mal cleared his throat, and Louis decided to give him a break. Resting his hand on Mal’s lower back, he reluctantly led him toward the steps, not wanting their time to end. As soon as they descended the stairs and found the main path, the heavens opened, and both groaned as a deluge of water drenched them in seconds. Louis grabbed Mal’s hand and ran back toward the monument, hoping for some shelter.

Once underneath the building, he wiped his face free of water and rubbed his hands through his hair, shaking the water free. Peering over at Mal, Louis’s breath hitched at the body that had been exposed by the immense amount of water saturating Mal’s clothes. Since the weather had been sunny and warm, they weren’t exactly dressed for a downpour.

“Definitely wasn’t three hours,” Mal joked, raising his eyebrows at Louis.

“Welcome to global warming.” Louis smirked. “We’ll be all right here for a few minutes. It should calm soon.”

The space Louis had dragged Mal to was not large, but he could move without touching the other man—though he wanted to touch him and more. There was something about the air of innocence around Mal that ticked all of Louis’s boxes, and he couldn’t help but map all his features.

“What?” Mal tucked his hands into his armpits and moved from foot to foot.

“Are you cold?”

Louis righted himself from where he’d been leaning against the wall and stepped closer.

“A little.” Mal’s focus transferred to Louis, and there was the little spark flaring between them. Mal licked his lips, and his gaze dropped to Louis’s mouth, then back to his eyes.

Louis couldn’t help himself. He lifted a hand, sliding the tips of his fingers along Mal’s jaw until he could cup the side of his face. When he received no rebuff, he drifted closer. Fingers gripped Louis’s wet T-shirt, and Louis lowered his head, his gaze locked with Mal’s as his mouth drew nearer. Wetting his lips, Louis’s tongue caught Mal’s lips, their breaths hitching at the small touch. Louis hesitated for a beat, waiting to see if Mal would pull away before closing the distance.

The soft, warm mounds went pliant under his, and he increased the pressure, sliding his hands to hold the back of Mal’s head. Inhaling through his nose, he opened his mouth a little, letting his tongue caress Mal’s lips. Mal’s head dropped to the side, his mouth allowing Louis entry.

Slipping into the warmth, he skimmed his tongue along Mal’s, then flicked along the roof of his mouth. A shaky sigh left Mal, and Louis crowded him against the wall, giving him purchase to delve deeper. He held Mal tightly, every inch of their bodies touching. Mal gripped the back of Louis’s T-shirt while their mouths took and gave.
