The Silver Dragon by Ellis Colton

Ellis Colton's second book brings us a second chance romance for two young men in The Silver Dragon

From the blurb:

Can an old crush lead to new love?

Teo Marquez attends an after-school karate program with his best friend at their junior high in San Bonita, Texas. It's challenging, but also totally fun, so Teo signs up for more classes at the Silver Dragon, the local dojo. While Teo loves his karate classes, he becomes silently smitten with a gorgeous teenage assistant there, Mr. Eklund. But before Teo gets the nerve up to even say hello to his crush, his family moves away and Teo's dreams are shattered.

Six years after moving to California, Teo returns to San Bonita as a transfer college student and rekindles some old friendships. He decides to take karate again when he learns that his old crush, Lucas Eklund, is now the sensei at the Silver Dragon! Adult Lucas is even more handsome than Teo dreamed of, and he returns Teo's interest. There's one problem--Lucas is deep in the closet. Teo thinks he can handle it, but Lucas' personal dragons might be stronger than Teo anticipated.

Heather's Review:

Taking us from a teenage crush to a second chance, The Silver Dragon gives us a look into a new adult relationship born from Teo's teenage crush on Luke.  Feelings and compatibility aren't an issue, but Luke's need to protect his business by staying in the closet might just be their biggest hurdle. It was interesting to see this book play out in the karate dojo setting.   A slow burn with a strong finish, this book is as much about Luke taking on his demons as it is about them reconnecting... Luke battles his home life, the community and his own ingrained homophobic thoughts to see what his future could be as an out, gay man with a partner like Teo.

The Silver Dragon is currently available as an e-book and paperback in wide release.
