A well trained consort that's misunderstood and the man that wants to care for him. But is their love worth the possible ending of their world?
From the Count Felford's Vessel blurb:
My fiancé hates me.
Seven long years we have been engaged.
I've completely failed to win him over. Despite being as perfect a vessel-to-be as I can manage.
Men of our station do not marry for love. I don't dare to dream of that.
I do wish the man who will take my body, to take my magic, could at least bear to be in my presence.
Count Felford is young, handsome. Progressive. Everything I could hope for in a husband.
If only I could figure out how to be what he desires.
Instead, it seems I'm destined for an unhappy marriage.
Imagine how much worse it will be if he discovers my secrets?
The fact I like to wear dresses and lingerie is bad enough, but my other secret?
That one could change our world forever.
Count Felford’s Vessel contains, arranged marriage, hurt/comfort, first times, accepting your true self and a literal ‘I will burn the world for him’.
All within an intimacy based magic system, in a modern-day, Regency inspired setting.

SNik's review:
Seventh in series (Duty & Magic), best if read in order to understand the universe build. Paranormal. Arranged marriage. Hurt/comfort. Dual POV. Heed content warnings.
After waiting and training for years to be the perfect consort and vessel Lucien is finally to be married to Count Felford. But Drew wants nothing to do with Lucien and only does his duty until he realizes there is more to Lucien than he realized.
There is the usual lack of communication and assumptions that threaten their relationship, but slowly Drew works harder to understand Lucien and starts to care for him. However, Lucien is hiding a secret which threatens more than just the two of them and that becomes something that feels slightly like it ends on a slight cliffhanger for the world building Rodman has done with this series. As always I enjoyed the high heat and the hurt/comfort aspect of this series, and the cinnamon role aristocrat taking his formerly abused husband into his care trope is always a hit for me.
