It’s at the grant awards dinner when Bennett locks eyes with Dex, a strikingly handsome older man. Their attraction is immediate. Their chemistry electric. In the following days, they can’t bear to be apart.
It doesn't take long for Bennett to discover Dex is harboring a huge secret. When he finds out that Dex is the benefactor of the charitable foundation, will he be able to look past Dex’s riches and see him for the man he truly is? Or will Bennett be too blinded by his own pride to allow himself to be seen as a charity case?
Jacquie's Review:
A very sweet, steamy novella in the Out and Kickin' series. Kicking it with the Billionaire can be read as a standalone easily. Characters from the other books do appear, they are very much background characters.
Both the MCs were likable and had valid reasons for how they reacted to things in the course of the story. I really liked Bennett in particular. He and Dex found a lot of common ground despite their huge differences in upbringings and social status.
The next one is set up nicely and I'm looking forward to reading it.

How much do you share with someone when you first meet them? How much do you share after a few dates? Kicking it with the Billionaire is a sweet, steamy novella that hits a lot of my buttons - age gap, opposites attract, secrets and angst, but in a way that makes sense for the characters and their backgrounds.
One thing I will warn is that there is mention of a parent undergoing cancer treatment that may be difficult for some readers, but it's handled well.
Like the other books in the Kicking It series, this was a quick and easy read and I look forward to seeing what comes next.
