First three book collection of this dark, emotional series.
From the blurb:
Three broken men. Three dangerous love stories. One found family worth killing for.
Redcars isn't just a garage in the heart of Los Angeles. It's a sanctuary for men with blood on their hands, scars on their souls, and nowhere else to go.
When a hunted survivor crashes through their gates, Enzo will do whatever it takes to keep him safe.
When old enemies resurface, Jamie and Killian find themselves caught between revenge and a need neither man can control.
And when a hacker marked for death brings a billionaire's deadly secrets to their door, Rio discovers just how far he'll go to protect the man he's claimed as his own.
Together, these three dark MM romantic suspense novels deliver high-stakes danger, found family, fierce loyalty, damaged heroes, obsessive devotion, and hard-won happy endings.
The Redcars Box Set includes ENZO, JAMIE, and RIO—three interconnected stories of survival, vengeance, healing, and the kind of love that refuses to let go.
SNik's review:
Enzo- Hurt/comfort. Found family. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings. He escaped, and stumbles upon a group of men that become his safe haven, but he is still being hunted and slowly it becomes clear that mechanic and ex-con Enzo will shield him from any danger. This story had really engaging and likable main characters, beyond supportive secondary characters that bring protective vibes all day long, bad guys to root against, and a patient love that is deep and all encompassing. I enjoyed every page of this book, as Enzo and Robbie are drawn to each other and don’t give up no matter how many times they stumble. Being vulnerable is hard, and both Enzo and Robbie are courageous and admirable as they learn to love and allow themselves to be loved. Action, suspense, swoon, found family, and all the best hugs out there.
Jamie - Found family. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings. Burning is about control for mechanic and hacker Jamie, and even when he is at odds with hotshot lawyer Killian, he willingly hands over that control to quiet the noise in his head. Killian understands Jamie’s darkness as he has his own jaded past, but he’s risking more than just his heart by becoming entangled with the former convict. This story continues the overarching plotline of a morally grey group of people trying to bring justice to some terrible villains, protecting victims and seeking revenge for one of their own. Jamie constantly challenges Killian and at first Killian is not sure he can be what Jamie needs but eventually is unable to deny their attraction. Both men have to come to terms with their own personal demons and possibly find a way to work together on a personal level as well as managing their vengeance side hustle. There is the risk to Killian’s group of friends that isn’t really resolved as Jamie and Killian commit to a relationship, but overall I enjoyed Jamie and Killian’s dynamic, the heat between them, and their fall into a special connection.
Rio - Hurt/comfort. Found family. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings. Rio has been a fighter all his life, and he will do anything to protect his found family, and he certainly doesn’t trust the hacker that knows a little too much about the men of Redcars and their enemies. Lyric has been on the run and in survival mode for a long time, he doesn’t need or want a protector but he’s run out of time, so Rio and the group at Redcars may be his last hope. This story remains entrenched in the overarching plotline that began with Robbie’s terrible past and the men of Redcars attempting to take down a list of bad guys. Lyric can help with his hacking knowledge and he and Rio slowly begin a tentative truce where they are able to see deeper parts of the other which leads to a quickly forming bond. I do wish there was more time spent with just Lyric and Rio getting to know each other, but the found family aspect was strong with the same supporting characters throughout the series.
