Everyone should have a purple hoodie-wearing candy loving demon, especially when all he wants to do is bring people joy.
From the Halluci-Dating A Demon blurb:
Elias
When my hallucinations while falling asleep and waking up turn from my worse nightmares to a cute purple demon who won't stop eating my food and stealing my hoodies, I can't decide if he's a problem or something I'm hoping isn't only a figment of my imagination.
Halluci-Dating A Demon is book two in Monster Match season two and ends with a sweet, fluffy HEA.
Angel's review:
I haven't come across many books where an MC has narcolepsy, hallucinations, and sleep paralysis, and this one really showed what it's like for someone to deal with those conditions day in and day out.
Elias is dealing with a lot of grief, loss, and guilt. When himself, his brother, and his boyfriend got into an accident with him behind the wheel, and when his brother didn't survive, but he did, he's been overwhelmed by guilt ever since that dreadful day. He has constant night terrors and hallucinations playing that awful day over and over again in a myriad of different scenarios, that's causing him a severe amount of anguish and pain... When he starts getting visits by a person who wears his hoodies, have charms in their hair, and loves eating his candy, he starts seeing that maybe there is another way to live outside of the guilt... The journey him and Arien have to go on is a long road, but together they find their way forward.
I love Arien! He's a bundle of joy, and adorableness! I love that he's on a mission to spread brightness and cheer, and how he's so determined to try to brighten people's nightmares. His obsession with candy and sweet stuff is so cute, and his love for Elias shines through the page. I adore these two together, they compliment one another in such a great way. Elias is more of a grumpy storm cloud (understandably so) and Arien is a ray of sunshine shining through the darkness that surrounds Elias.
