Novella in the author’s Infinite Arcana universe. Paranormal. Fated mates. Slow burn. Dual POV. Heed content warnings. 

Alec is a special fae on the run from some bad guys and gets unexpected help from an ancient werewolf when he stumbles into Leif’s territory. Leif lives in solitude and knows he can’t keep Alec close, he is cursed and fears he will eventually harm Alec. 

As Leif shows his protective nature, Alec shows his strengths as well and they readily and happily accept their fated mates status. I really enjoyed that Leif was a cinnamon roll Alpha, and the fact that Alec is actually just as capable as Leif when it comes to protecting each other. I could have read more with these characters, especially with the possibility of them building a pack and becoming even more close.
