Part of the a little for Christmas combined universe. Ollie is a beautiful story about finding self acceptance and love. Ollie is the sweetest, shy little. Beck is the loving daddy that gives him what he needs.
From the blurb:
Can dating via an app turn into something more when Ollie hides a major part of himself—how overweight he is?
An invitation to an all-expenses paid cruise of a lifetime from his best friend, Leeson, who is getting married, is really exciting for Ollie. Or it would be if the man he was sharing a cabin with wasn't the same man he was secretly dating online. The one man who he wants to get naked with—but doesn't because of how he feels about how he looks.
Beckett finds a boy who is the prefect Christmas gift: Ollie. A visit home to Sweet Haven and Beckett discovers who Ollie is, just not what he looks like. He honors Ollie's decision to keep his appearance from Beckett over the following months as their relationship deepens. That is until Garrett asks him to be a groomsman at his wedding. Kismet, or the universe, his friend unknowingly gives Beckett the perfect opportunity to prove Ollie is the boy for him.
Now all he has to do is convince Ollie that the size of someone's waistline isn't what's important, but how generous their heart is.
This book is part of A Little Christmas: Season Three multi-author series. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone where every little is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all?
Thera Rhodes review:
This story was very sweet. Ollie was so shy and adorable. I honestly wish we got see more of his Little side. Beck was so sweet and understanding. He was the perfect daddy. I loved that Beck reassured Ollie anytime he got in his head. Super sweet happy ending.
Molly Otto's review:
It is a beautifully sweet story of a boy named Ollie finding his perfect daddy. Beckett & Ollie started their relationship online slowly but surely getting to know one another before Ollie was more comfortable seeing Beckett. This poor soul is so insecure with his weight he just needed a daddy who loved him for his curves. Beckett is steadfast in reassuring his boy he has no issues but loves Ollie for who he is inside and out. They don't have an easy relationship it takes both of them time to adjust, but it works for them. With a supportive group of friends, they learn to have a healthy work and life balance. Absolutely adored the positive message of this story was a breath of fresh air to see.
Nicole's review:
Poor Ollie, he broke my heart! This obviously tied into a previous book that I have not read, as there were established characters and relationships, but it was not a hindrance to the story. Ollie is a shy little, with severe body insecurities. He meets his dream daddy online, but doesn't think he will ever be brave enough to meet in person. Beckett wasn't having it!!! This was a SUPER SLOW burn as Beckett worked to gain Ollie's trust and affection. There relationship was so sweet, and I adored Becketts daddy voice and authority. JP always knows how to draw the reader into the relationship while not giving everything away at the start. I loved these two, and hope there will be another Little season next year!!!
Heather's Review:
If there were ever a boy crying out for the right daddy, it's Ollie - so sweet, self-deprecating and shy with body insecurity and a need to feel safe and secure. This book is a super slow build with the two men meeting over text and only meeting in person when both attending their friends' wedding - with a little forced proximity thrown into the mix. I love how their lives collide in just the right ways and how they already share a friends circle to help them grow their relationship. I truly enjoyed this slow build and lovely relationship!
This book has a similar timeline to JP's Cruising Right Into Love story from this summer and crosses over with the couple from that book, but can easily be read standalone or before you dive into that book.
